On March 18th, the Second General Membership Meeting of City Exhibition Research Association in Hangzhou and the Promotion Conference for the Development of Hangzhou Exhibition Industry were successfully held at Hangzhou International Expo Center. Nearly 160 people attended, including leaders from the Hangzhou Municipal Commission of Commerce and relevant departments, former leaders of Hangzhou’s exhibition industry and relevant association heads, and all members of City Exhibition Research Association in Hangzhou. Liu Chunyan, the general manager of Hangzhou Fima Expo Co., Ltd., was invited to attend the meeting.
At the conference, Chen Chengjian, a member of the Party Group of and a Second-level Inspector of the Hangzhou Municipal Commission of Commerce, stated in his speech that currently, Hangzhou is accelerating the construction of an international consumption center city and an international “exhibition” and “event” city. As an important component of modern service industry, the exhibition industry has ushered in new opportunities and challenges. We hope that everyone can seize these opportunities, ride the momentum, actively integrate into the city’s development strategy, proactively adapt to changes and seize the initiative to enhance consumption quality and scale. At the same time, we hope to make innovative breakthroughs, improve efficiency and effectiveness, and work together to build a favorable ecological environment for industry development.
The conference also summarized the achievements of the Research Association last year and its working plans for 2025. At the meeting, the members of the second council were successfully elected, and a ceremony was held to confer the honorary titles on the 20 newly appointed experts of the Exhibition and Conference Think Tank and the first batch of 15 research association member activity bases.
